Konnichihua!

So when I went to Japan, I had the opportunity to visit the cities of Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagoya. I also had the chance to experience, first hand, the Japanese fashion rave. Let me tell you, New York hipsters have A LOT to learn about fashion and class, because I personally think that Japanese "hipsters" are UP THERE (next to the French of course), when it comes to be "fashion innovators".
Since I consider my style "chameleon eclectic", I figure my fashion style would not look to outta place in Japan. And I was right! I was like a fish in the water, comfortably fashionable!
So here's a pick at what I would wear on a nice Summer day, when strolling around town.

| Tunic with flower adorned breast pocket (from a local Japanese designer)

| Shorts with lace-embroided under culotte (another local Japanese designer)

| Randa (Japanese brand) ankle high "utility" sandals

| Floral scarf turned into headpiece

| Fossil cargo convertible tote

Sawadee Kha!

As I previously stated, I was in Thailand on an amazing vacation (more like an adventure) with my best friend. We had the chance to visit the mesmerizing Phuket, and hype Bangkok.
Since Thailand is more of an adventure place anyways, dressing up meant being uber-casual and relaxed. In other words, don't try to overdress looking like Paris Hilton in Malibu Beach.
For those of you who would like to know what's an appropriate outfit to wear when going to the beach or just explore, here's what I wore on my first beach day in Phuket (remember Thailand is a contradictingly conservative country).

$UniQlo Fedora straw hat

$American Rag strapless sundress

$Kirra swimsuit

$Havaianas flip flops

$Urban Outfitters combat utility backpack

REMEMBER: Keep it simple and comfortable!

Up Up and Away

This outfit was about dressing, not only to impress, but to look casual enough to appear effortless. One word in mind: HIPSTER!
Yes, I know, I have fallen into the "temptation" of looking like a neo-hippie, without a cause; but if you are to attend a rap summer concert in Williamsburg BK (the land of the hipsterish, mind you!), you better know what key items to wear in order not to look outta place (no matter how outta place you would look on any other normal circumstances). In my case, I opted for the most basic/casual hispter attire:

A Native American cropped/over-sized Tee

A AE Medium wash shorts

A  ASOS Military boots

A  RAY-BAN Classic Wayfarer

Sucker Punch has nothing on me!

Today's outfit clearly shows my disdain to being a girly girl. Actually, the word is: mockery! Yes, I am mocking you girls who try so hard to look innocent/school girl-ish, while attempting to look hot/fashionable. Hello! What a contradiction...anyways, for those of you who are STILL trying, here's how you do it: DO NOT TRY! Effortless and a blaze air are just enough to pull a look like that!

Spring...quand tu me prends

Yeah! Spring is in the air! Birdies are out, people are happier, and MissNala feels it's time to showcase her fashion sense. I will stop speaking of myself in the third person right now, and explain why I chose to wear this outfit. Early during the day, I had to wear a very professional business attire; and being how I am, I had to change as soon as I could. Since I didn't want to bring too much clothes with me considering how heavy purse gets, I needed some comfortable that could go well with my tights and blazer. Denim shorts and simple graphic tee would fit the bill...and TADA!!!

Here comes Spring

I know I haven't been up-to-par with uploading new outfit posts, and I am truly sorry. Due to over-working everyday (which includes 2 hours of commuting) and a shitty weather, my outfits would like quite "exhausted" rather than "flawless".

Since the weather was abnormally delectable (we are talking 75°F/24°C), I decided to gently transition into the new season with an chameleon outfit which could easily be worn during a nice day of fall. Also, I realize that I do not look uber-sophisticated, but I am a true believer than Minimalism and Personality are what rock an outfit!

Traitorous Weather

Unsurprisingly, the weather went back to..crap. Though temperatures dropped drastically, I wasn't ready to put back on my winter attire. So I decided to channel my inner monochromeness, as a big F.U. to this undesirable weather. Seriously, teasing people like this with nice spring temperatures turning into North Pole weather is just wrong.

Saluting Valentine's Day!

Since today was an unsually warm day (thank you Valentine's Day), I decided to play a bit with my clothes and wear something "random" to work. Needless to say, I was complimented lol! But I have to admit, it is quite difficult to stand out of the crowd when you are working at Conde Nast, with its zombie fashionista army.

Mad Hatter Madness

I am a fond believer of "a hat a day, keeps bad hair away!"

It especially works if you have overly curly hair like mine. Furthermore, I have always thought those who dare to wear hats (let's be honest, not everyone has a hat head), seem to always be fascinating characters. I guess hats is a getway to exhilarating a hidden personality inside each one of us, including myself!
