In the Streets: Nowhere in Brooklyn

Brooklyn had a little lamb ... nevermind, it's a HUGE one!
I had never felt safer to see a gigantic lamb in the middle of nowhere in Brooklyn, NY!

In the Streets: Conde Nast Building, NY

Meet Blake.
He currently works as a stylist at Conde Nast (guess which magazine?).

But what is really important about him (in fashion terms obviously), is his Neo-New Look look.

I am quasi infatuated with the way he gives such a intricate twist to such minimalist look. He knows how to combine yesterday's classics to today's trends. From the perfectly tailored jackets, to the skinny black jeans; every details counts to make this outfit work. It is never repetitive, yet it is a signature outfit. I especially like how everyday brings a different details to his look: fedora hat and loafers one day; vest, bow-tie, and shinny moccasins another day. If that wasn't enough to make these outfits stand out, Blake always manages to combine different texture, to bring his attire to life!

In the Streets: LIM College New York

Meet Shion. She is a fellow classmate of mine at LIM College, and this girl has an amazing MADE IN JAPAN style. Everytime we had class, I couldn't wait to see what outfit she wore.


On this particular day, she channeled a Japanese version of an All-American girl outfit by pairing your typical tee (cute Hello Kitty shirt btw) and jean skirt, with an adorable plaid poncho and yeti boots! I just have one word to describe her look: Kawaii  か わ い い !!!

And check out her badass bedazzled nails! 3-D nails have recently arrived in NYC, and I cannot wait to try one of the salons in Manhattan. Though a bit more expensive than your regular manicure (obviously), your nails will definitely get a brand new personality by customizing each one of them with a different design. 

In the Streets: Stockholm, Sweden

Last summer I had the chance to go to Sweden, so I decided to do some Street Fashion photography. I must say, I felt as if I were in Model Land. Swedish people are unfairly blessed with good looks: perfect tan, hair, muscle, etc.
In the land which saw the birth of famous brands ACNE and H&M, I had some expectations to what Swedish fashion would look like. Swedish women do not have a specific classification when it comes to fashion standards. Stockholm is an epicenter of clashing styles. You can literally find any styles in this city, but unlike in NYC, the Swedish exhume a sense of clean cut to their outfits. Needless to say, I was quite taken aback by how men dress.

I thought this girl had an interesting style. She definitely took the bourgeois look to a different level by combining the satchel-foulard-navy blue clean look with oversized sarouelle pants.

What amused me about this photo is the length of the shorts: they are the same. Little did I know, Swedish men are very fond of "short" shorts.

I also noticed what could be a typical Swedish male attire: marcel or skin-tight shirt, shorty shorts, and converse.
Don't forget to show the right amount of tone muscles, and groomed hair...and Voila!

In the Streets: Astor Place New York

Astor Place is one of my favorite places to be in New York. I love to just watch people in this overly animated street. I always find people whose outfit exhale of confidence, uniqueness, and a certain je-ne-sais quoi.


I saw these two Japanese students, and thought how Japanese are the true experts at Street Fashion. These girls were visiting NYC, and I decided to take their picture.
RIGHT: her globe-trotter look is just effortless. It is a mix of ...anything... a she just makes it work perfectly. She looks more like an art student from Pratt, rather than your typical tourist!
LEFT: the way she wore her LBD is just awesome; from the oversized chain necklace, to her moccasins; it just shows the versatility and uniqueness of Japanese's fashion.

In the Streets: Montmartre Paris

I went back to France last summer, and decided to take photos of people who I thought had an inspiring outfit.

I spotted this girl while waiting for my mom. She was with a couple of friends, and was initially taken aback with my request to photograph herWhen I saw her, I thought her outfit was simple FRESH (no reference to Jersey Shore). . The clash with the pocketed floral skirt and the destroyed converse is just geniusly cute.

My brother was actually the one who spotted her (not for fashion reasons, obviously). When I asked her if I could take a picture of her, she felt very shy so I told her to keep browsing through the postcards, and I will take the pictures. I was so inspired by the eclecticism of her outfit. The ruffles on her sleeves, the cadet-inspired vest, and the pompons on her shoulder bag were just a match-made in heaven. 

 When I first saw her, I thought "that's how you own a LBD!" I personally believe in Minimalist, so the way she paired her LBD with a simple belt, bracelet, and black flats is just Chic!

Simple is always better. Aside from being pretty, the simpleness of her outfit made her stand out of the crowd (considering I was in Montmartre, where you can find zillions of interesting characters). I love how the only detail on her outfit is her  her pair of Spartiate. It is also interesting how it brings the point of focus on an unusual part of her body.

This man! I believe he was a bit drunk when I took a picture of him; but his outfit is just WOW! I don't think I have to say anything about him, because I believe his outfit speaks for itself. Vintage aficionados, better learn from him!
